October 17 & 24, 2024 - Christmas Cards! (plus a box to gift them in)

We had a great time working on cards along with a salad potluck. Such great food and friends! It took us two classes to get these all done, but they all turned out beautifully! These cards were made using the October 2023 Home for The Holidays Paper Pumpkin kit, November 2023 Warm Wishes Paper Pumpkin kit, and coordinating 2023 Warm Wishes Card Bases, along with cardstock and a few other supplies. Most (but not all) stamps came from the two Paper Pumpkin kits.

Inspiration for these cards came from the following tutorials (hover over card photo for corresponding number.) Not everything we did is exactly like these tutorials, but if you want to make something similar these will help you get started. All links will open in a new tab:

Card 8: This card uses white cardstock embossed with trees, and houses added with dimensionals, on a red cardstock base.

Card 9: This card uses one of the cards from the Warm Wishes add on card bases cut down, merry christmas and snowflakes cut from dies, and a tree from the Home for the Holidays kit on a red card base.

June 20, 2024 - Stenciling and Inking

This month we used stencils and masks along with a few different blending brushes to make these beautiful anniversary and birthday cards. After class, I played around with some other color combinations and came up with 6 variations using the Layers of Beauty stamp and masks set.

May 21, 2024 - Many different cards using a simple fancy fold

Since there were a few requests for cards this month that were very different, I found this super cute fancy fold on Pinterest and adapted it slightly for our use. From this we were able to make baby shower cards, wedding cards, birthday cards, and a graduation card. Click the link above for directions. April 25, 2024 - Birthday Cards

We used the retired Stampin' Up! Blossoms in Bloom set to create beautiful pieced together cards.  Plus a cute little notebook! Because of the different layers in different colors needed to create these cards, I had a lot of leftover pieces. I used them to make my April and June exchange cards, as well as the cards shown below.  The first two cards we created in class, everything else I created with the leftover pieces...
